My Top 5 Best Dressed Picks from the Oscars
On March 6, 2018 by sandraBeing a fashion lover at heart, you can just imagine how enjoyable it is for me to be glued to the television set for hours watching all of the biggest celebrities walk down the red carpet dressed in the latest and greatest fashion pieces straight out of the runway on Hollywood’s biggest night—the Oscars! It has been a tradition in our household where my mom and I will pretend we are the fashion commentators on TV during the Oscars and will pick our own top dress picks of the evening and give explanations as to why. In the spirit of that tradition, I’ve decided to share with you all my Top 5 Best Dressed Picks from the Oscars this year.
You Ready??…..Let’s get started!
Nicole Kidman in Armani Prive
This dress in my opinion was the most unique dress on the red carpet this Oscar season! It completely stood out in a sea of many dresses with similar motifs. (blush or gold toned dresses) Nicole looked like the ultimate glamorous movie star in this dress and the overall look was just put together so well. The cobalt blue color was a true stand out on the red carpet! Definitely an A++
Eiza Gonzalez in Ralph Lauren
I may be a little biased, but I am a major advocate for wearing bright colors. I personally love wearing bright colored dresses and when I saw Eiza in this electric canary yellow dress I just screamed ” Yes! The color is perfect!” The vibrancy is one to turn many heads! Also, while this dress is very simple at glance it is very stunning and sexy. Simple chicness at its finest!
Gina Rodriguez in Zuhair Murad
Two words–Zuhair Murad!!! Zuhair Murad is probably one of my favorite fashion designers! I just love all of his creations and look forward to watching his fashion shows every season. He just kills it every time! To me the Oscars represent “fairy tale glamour” and I feel Gina accomplished this look with this modern princess like dress.
Gal Gadot in Givenchy
Bling, bling, bling! What screams Oscars more than mega glitz and glamour?! This dress definitely incorporates Hollywood glam but at the same time has a fun spin to it with the fringe at the bottom of the dress. It could totally turn into a fun after party dress by highlighting dance moves with the movement of the fringe! The jewelry was perfectly styled with this dress as well. Loved the necklace!
Jane Fonda in Balmain
The first thing I thought when I saw Jane Fonda on the TV screen was ” Wow, she looks amazing!” Don’t you think?!? Jane looked so confident and elegant and this dress fit Jane to the T! You go Jane, nice choice!
So Tell me…… Which of these dresses are your favorite and why? Were there any other dresses from the Oscars that were your favorites? I would love to hear your opinion!
And Until Next Time…
Bachigner XOXO,
Sandra
